Mariana Marquez Vega is a licensed clinical social worker and therapist committed to helping individuals transform their lives for the better. Combining her professional expertise with a deep passion for mental health advocacy, she leads Brighter Future for Children and Families PLLC, striving to create better futures for her clients and supporting them on their personal journeys.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Mariana has extensive experience in diagnostic assessments, crisis intervention, and treatment planning. She specializes in psycho-education, psychotherapy groups, and anger management, always ensuring that her clients are empowered with the tools they need for emotional well-being.

With a Master of Social Work from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and a Certificate in Advanced Trauma, PTSD & Dissociation, Mariana is equipped to provide comprehensive, compassionate care. Her goal is to support clients not just in managing their mental health but in achieving long-term stability and growth.

Outside of her work, Mariana is a devoted mother of four, enjoys evening walks with her husband and their dog Porsha, and is passionate about teaching her children the values of self-love and education. Guided by strong ethics, including integrity, competence, and social justice, she is committed to fostering meaningful connections and continuing to learn and grow alongside her clients.

Meet Monica Rios
Licensed Clinical Social Worker , Therapist

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Monica is dedicated to supporting individuals through compassionate and evidence-based therapeutic interventions. With 6 years of experience in the field, she specializes in substance use anxiety, depression, trauma, family dynamics and anger management.

She earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and holds a license in Texas. Her approach to therapy is rooted in treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Harm Reduction, Solution-Focused and Task Centered Approaches, which allows her to tailor treatment to meet each client’s unique needs and goals.

In addition to her clinical practice, she is committed to ongoing professional development and staying current with the latest research and best practices in social work. She believe in fostering a supportive and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their concerns, build resilience, and achieve meaningful change.

Outside of her practice, she is passionate about animals, music and travel. She looks forward to partnering with you on your journey towards healing and growth.

Joanna Trevino
Licensed Master Social Worker

Joanna Trevino is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) specialist for the Counseling and Mental Health Department at Region One Education Service Center.  Within her role as a mental health specialist, she provides services to parents, school counselors, social workers, students, and the community, striving to provide mental health awareness and prevention on to the individuals in the school sector.

Joanna has 8 years of experience in the community, working with children aged 2-17. She provides direct services with trauma informed care always ensuring that the physical and emotional safety of an individual is addressed. Prior to working with Region One ESC, Joanna was working closely with unaccompanied immigrants providing the utmost of service to reunify them with family members while ensuring their safety.

Before that, she was a forensic interviewer at the Children’s Advocacy Center where she worked closely with Law Enforcement and Child Protective Services to prosecute cases of child abuse and neglect. She is presently at Region One ESC pursuing a career she loves and striving to make a positive impact in the community.
